The Role

Ideal Profile

• You have a degree in Computer Science as well as at least 7 years of experience in Software engineering including solid experience as a backend engineer within a product company.
• You are proficient in one or more of the following languages: Ruby, PHP, Python, or Java, and open to working with/learning Ruby as part of your role.
• You possess strong coding, design, and unit testing skills, with experience in Linux environments and web application frameworks. You are proficient in at least two of the following: Ruby on Rails, NestJS, Laravel, CakePHP, Django, or similar technologies.
• You have hands-on experience with designing and tuning complex relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• You have experience with improving legacy code/system and working with REST API, and GraphQL.
• You have worked with event streaming services such as Kafka to design and implement asynchronous processes.
• You are familiar with cloud computing such as AWS, GCP
• You can communicate in English to be able to work effectively with international team members
• You are a strong team player & problem solver and demonstrate a strong interest in disrupting traditional industries through innovative technology.
