ULI is seeking a Senior Researcher, based in India or Philippines, to work with the ULI Asia Pacific Programme and Research team. This role will contribute to the development and delivery of sustainability-focused thought leadership research. The research scope also includes contributing to global ULI research projects with insights and case studies from Asia Pacific. Specific tasks vary during the entire research development process, such as planning, market research, member outreach, production, promotion, and impact analysis.This is a one-year full time contractor position, subject to renewal.Responsibilities:Project Planning and ManagementSupport research proposal creation through desktop research and participating in planning meetings.Manage and liaise with research partners when external organisations/freelancers are engaged to carry out ULIprojects.Ensure that all ULI publications are delivered on time and to the highest possible standard.Research and WritingConduct research when carried out in-house, including desktop research, literature reviews, developing surveys and analysing results, meeting with members and external partners, and preparing materials for research workshops and events.Collect review feedback and edit research projects when carried out through external contractors or partners.Draft, collect reviewer feedback and edit articles for internal and external publications on ULI Asia Pacific’s research programme and other topics of interest.Member Engagement and Event SupportSupport the Programme and Marketing Team to plan, promote and execute sustainability-focused events for the purpose of promoting ULI’s thought leadership.Engage with members in Asia Pacific through meetings and calls to identify research needs, collect feedback on our research’s impact, and encourage members to contribute to research projects. Qualifications:Approximately 3-5 years of previous work experience in a research or content production role related to sustainability. Experience with member-facing organizations, or the real estate industry is a plus.Good working knowledge of sustainability, climate change, green buildings, real estate, local policy impacting climate action and the real estate industry, and related topics.Experience undertaking qualitative and/or quantitative research.Experience with and comfort engaging with senior leaders in real estate and land use.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.Project management experience to coordinate multiple contributors to deliver the project on time and in high quality.Demonstrated excellence with verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in written and spoken English.Ability to time manage effectively and prioritize between multiple ongoing projects.A collaborative attitude and positive approach to teamwork.
