We're looking for a skilled and motivated Cloud Infrastructure & Data Engineer to join our SaaS company, built entirely on AWS. In this role, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and evolving our existing CloudFormation-defined infrastructure, as well as building and optimizing our critical ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

The Role
- Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot our existing AWS environment, which is fully defined and managed through CloudFormation scripts. You'll ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Be an iInfrastructure as Code (IaC) Champion. Author, update, and review CloudFormation templates for provisioning new resources and modifying existing ones, ensuring best practices and security standards are met.
- Maintain and enhance the Data Pipeline. Develop, and maintain robust and efficient ETL pipelines to move and transform data from various sources into our data stores.
- Identify and implement improvements to our data ingestion and processing workflows, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Work closely with our development and product teams to understand their infrastructure and data needs, providing expert guidance and implementing effective solutions.
- Proactively monitor the health and performance of our AWS infrastructure and data pipelines, responding to incidents and resolving issues promptly
Ideal Profile
- You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- You are an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer—Professional.
- You have proven experience with a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS).
- You have expert-level proficiency in authoring, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation.
- You have strong Python programming skills that are essential for both infrastructure automation and data engineering tasks.
- You have working knowledge of working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- You demonstrated experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL processes, ideally with tools and frameworks relevant to AWS (e.g., AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions).
- You have a strong analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- You have the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You are enthusiastic about collaborating with a cross-functional team in an agile environment.
It's preferable if you have:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect—Associate.
- AWS Certified Data Engineer—Associate.
- Experience with other IaC tools like Terraform
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
