We're looking for a skilled and motivated Cloud Infrastructure & Data Engineer to join our SaaS company, built entirely on AWS. In this role, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and evolving our existing CloudFormation-defined infrastructure, as well as building and optimizing our critical ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

The Role

  • Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot our existing AWS environment, which is fully defined and managed through CloudFormation scripts. You'll ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Be an iInfrastructure as Code (IaC) Champion. Author, update, and review CloudFormation templates for provisioning new resources and modifying existing ones, ensuring best practices and security standards are met.
  • Maintain and enhance the Data Pipeline. Develop, and maintain robust and efficient ETL pipelines to move and transform data from various sources into our data stores.
  • Identify and implement improvements to our data ingestion and processing workflows, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Work closely with our development and product teams to understand their infrastructure and data needs, providing expert guidance and implementing effective solutions.
  • Proactively monitor the health and performance of our AWS infrastructure and data pipelines, responding to incidents and resolving issues promptly

Ideal Profile

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
  • You are an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer—Professional.
  • You have proven experience with a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS).
  • You have expert-level proficiency in authoring, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation.
  • You have strong Python programming skills that are essential for both infrastructure automation and data engineering tasks.
  • You have working knowledge of working with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • You demonstrated experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL processes, ideally with tools and frameworks relevant to AWS (e.g., AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions).
  • You have a strong analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • You have the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You are enthusiastic about collaborating with a cross-functional team in an agile environment. 

It's preferable if you have:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect—Associate.

  • Experience with other IaC tools like Terraform

The Role

Daily CEO Support & Focus Management

  • Act as the CEO’s primary accountability partner—helping him stay focused and aligned with top priorities
  • Monitor his attention in real time; redirect gently but firmly when he gets off track (e.g., social media, phone calls, visitors, low-priority tangents)
  • Lead daily planning check-ins and ensure his calendar reflects strategic goals
  • Shadow him on Zoom for afternoon calls, take meeting notes, and mobilize follow-ups

  • Own the CEO’s calendar, inbox, and key communications (internal and external)

  • Track open loops, ensure nothing slips through the cracks, and create systems where needed

Operational Collaboration

  • Work closely with our Director of Operations to align CEO activities with team goals
  • Communicate and collaborate across departments to ensure timely execution of initiatives
  • Take ownership of special projects from start to finish—ensuring progress and on-time delivery


Ideal Profile

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years supporting senior executives or founders in high-growth or fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of how to support a visionary leader with ADHD or rapid ideation cycles
  • Exceptional organization, focus, and follow-through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Confident, direct, and professional in managing up while being warm and collaborative
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Asana, and related tools
  • Able to manage 20+ open loops and details without getting overwhelmed
  • Comfortable making decisions independently while knowing when to escalate


Tech & Setup Requirements

  • Reliable computer (minimum i5 or equivalent with 8GB RAM)
